Business Development Head – Education Sales

We are looking for an energetic and experienced Business Development Head who can develop new business, targeting the School market in India. This position requires the candidate to partner directly with schools and district administrators in an effort to create new business and expansion opportunities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities within assigned territory through networking and cold calling efforts through team.
  • Define prospects, schedule appointments, and close sales
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage bottom line profitability
  • Comfortable for Travelling & Generating leads & building relationship with new clients
  • Analyses and plans innovative strategies for Admissions.
  • Endeavour to build healthy bonds with new clients.
  • Determines sales targets and ensures they are successfully achieved by the sales personnel.
  • Identifies new opportunities for sales campaigns that can lead to increased sales.
  • Discusses and consults with other managers on latest business trends with a view to introduce innovative products or services in future.
  • Understands the company’s reputation and ensures to retain that image by continually enhancing the organisations performance.
  • Candidate will have full control of the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing the deal.
  • Coordinating pre-sales and post-sales follow up.
  • Strategic Planning of Admission Activities, Ensure Branding Strategy to achieve the targets.
  • Ensure proper coordination, liaison with all the campuses, Build good rapport, achieve conversion ratio, Preparation of documents, records required for admission.
  • Setting targets and take corrective action when needed, review performance with team members
  • Monitor competitor activities and devise effective counter measures
  • Handle marketing initiatives and alliances in the assigned territory
  • Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
  • Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
  • Ensure staff are on board throughout the organisation, and understand the need for change and what is required of them
  • Train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
  • Liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
  • Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.

REQUIREMENTS

  • MBA – Marketing with good Experience in Corporate Sales & Lead Generation
  • The desired candidate must be ideally from the Education Industry having experience in Business Development, familiar with respective markets of Punjab, able to hold events, seminars & conference.
  • 5 years of successful field sales experience with team handling role preferably in the Education Market
  • Pleasing personality, boundless energy, and enthusiasm to work in a rapidly growing organization
